Scheduled to open in 2009. P.B. Dye has created yet another magnificent golf course on the island of the Dominican Republic. With over 7,200 yards he used the natural terrain provided.
Another Pete Dye creation at Casa de Campo, "Dye Fore" has spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea, mountains, the Chavon River below and the Altos de Chavon artists' village.
Pete Dye would have preferred to have it named La Barranca, or "the little hill" for it offers an undulating layout reminiscent of traditional Scottish courses, featuring small greens and several lagoons.
Pete Dye: "I created eleven holes and God created seven!" By far Dye's personal favorite, the "Teeth of the Dog" opened in 1971 as a 6,888-yard, par 72-layout, with par 3's celebrated by Golf Magazine. It attracts and challenges the best professionals and amateur golfers from around the globe.
Located 20 minutes east of Santo Domingo's airport near the resort town of Juan Dolio, Guavaberry Golf & Country Club opened in 2002 and has quickly become known as a challenging course.
