A full day exploring Oaxaca’s beautiful Sierra Madre Mountains, home to one of Mexico’s richest coffees.
A little over an hour is all it takes to transport you to this paradise hidden away in the jungle covered mountainside. Along the route into the mountains, you will visit Xadani, a quaint, 400yr old village that has remained basically untouched by the modern world.
Later you will arrive to Finca La Gloria, a coffee plantation run by a local family, still higher up in the Sierras. Here you will learn about the fascinating process of growing & harvesting coffee beans and testing different qualities of coffee.
Later, you’ll take a 20 minute hike to the stunning, crystal clear Llano Grand Waterfalls. Swim in the invigorating waters & test your "Tarzan" skills swinging into the water! Keep an eye on the surrounding countryside as the region is also home to parrots and a variety of other exotic birds.
Later you'll join the family for a typical Oaxacan lunch freshly prepared by the owners over an old wood stove before heading back to Huatulco.
